Sosa hit his 9th home run of the season, and 583rd of his career tonight. That ties him with McGwire for 6th place on the all time list. Next up is Frank Robinson, who has 586.

[title edited since he is now tied for 5th]

I would like to thank everyone who dumped their Sosa collections when Sammy signed with Baltimore, I appreciated the low prices!

I still worship my lifesize sammy cardboard cutout (which stands next to the Jordan life size cut out) every day.

A Sosa coffee mug and the ad that he took out in the Tribune after being traded are both on my computer desk.

It was starting to look like Sammy would never hit another HR. I was also wondering if Palmeiro would reach 600 HR's before Sammy, still a possibility. I hope Sammy has enough left to get to 600.

The Gladiator passes McGwire the same week that Vicor Conte of BALCOR pleads guilty to distributing steroids. How ironic.

i don't think you know what ironic means
