Probably one of the absolute best baseball minds around. He works with Marquee and does MLB.com Pipeline stuff. His YouTube channel might be next to Foolish Bailey as the two best baseball channels. Period. He focuses a lot on prospects but mainly pitching and pitching development. A team will one day hire him and they will be better for it.

Lance is the horsefeathers.

And now I know… 😄

Shaw hitting into a lot of bad luck.

That's fine....as we've talked about a ton lately, keep hitting it like that and it will even out.

I'm really a big fan of his. If you're ever bored, his Youtube Channel will make you feel really smart by the end. I've learned a lot about the real data behind pitching; movement profiles, spin and seam-shifted wake. It's awesome stuff.

Yikes, come on bro how you gonna touch that ball?

Edit: nevermind the ball boy was right?!, very astute of him!

I do need it, because I feel like a dumbass for even asking in the way that I did.

Dude, the baseball world is so huge now a days, there's no shame. Dorks like me know who Lance is because when I'm bored I want to learn about the difference between observed movement and induced movement.

Seriously its hilarious that the ball boy inadvertently showed the umpire up even though he technically should have seen the umpire pointing fair lol

Something I wonder... correct me if I'm wrong but Pressly agreed to waived his no trade clause to go to the Cubs only after the Cubs gave him assurances that he'd be closer.  He was obviously to start the year but was demoted and doesn't seem like he has any shot to regain the role (as we see another ball smoked off of him to bring the tying run up).

Doesn't matter anymore but I wonder if he's upset that he was so quickly pulled from the role and not getting it back.

I've wondered that, if deep down, he feels a little cheated by that.

But as well, you have as rough of a start as he had to the year at times, it wasn't like it wasn't without cause. From an outsider perspective.

Cubs getting hurt by how softly these are being hit

107.3 mph and 98.5 mph.  I think it's more where they were placed.

Not that the Sox don't have some really good hitters but pretty nice to not have to worry about a Devers coming up here.

Need a guy to push Pressly out of any 7-9th inning role when game is still in question.

They will have that in a couple of weeks .

I thought it was mentioned at one point (T-Mac maybe?) that he was very accepting of transitioning into more of a leverage guy vs. closer and has been supportive of Palencia moving into the closer role, but of course I can’t find confirmation of that. I guess it could be all in my head.

Isn't that Boog and JD guy, they would of had a field day with that one, never doubt the ball boy 😅
