Man Hartshorn must be getting paaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiidddddddd

I 'm not sure if it was posted back in the draft thread, but if not, Hartshorn was intereviewed after the draft. When asked about the Cubs and the process, he basically said that "he had a number" and it was the Cubs who called and gave him his number. Had teams in higher rounds but they wouldn't meet it. (Which, an aside, dig how candid he was! Great attitude in general)

I'd guess he's getting a good number, yes.

Holy horsefeathers, that's even lower than what was speculated in the Draft Day thread.

Maybe they're also going to make a big push for Barnett?  🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately I don’t believe so. Hartshorn and Wing are just going to be pricey. They’re valuing those guys very well

Assuming Barnett doesn't sign and Kaemyn Franklin gets $300k...if Wing and Hartshorn get matching bonuses, they'll get about $1.7 million each, which is pick 2.53 slot value.

I think they value Hartshorn more so he might get closer to $2 million, which is 2.48 slot value.

This assumes Franklin is the only guy between rounds 11-20 who doesn't get more than $150k.

I'd wondered if Jemberzeck might overslot.  Post above says no.  (I'm kinda disappointed; I'd hoped they'd love him enough to motivate some real overslot.).

Cal, I've got analogous numbers for yours.  To put it in a different way, with 2-sig-figs roundoff they've got $3.6 to cover Wing, Hartshorn, and any teens overslot.

They like those two guys a LOT.  Hartshorn is getting at least $2.

I don't have links to source this, but

"A quote from Hartshorn.
"“I fly out to Arizona in the next day or two to get a physical and once I pass my physical, I will look into signing and then I will report in a week or two to Arizona,” he said."

Earlier he said that he had turned down several offers in the high ones (presumably the high one millions) but he held out on his number until the Cubs finally agreed with it and drafted him.  His agent called him to say that the Cubs had agreed to his "number".

With his injuries, he just didn't have the leverage.

They clearly liked him enough to give him $150k after missing two seasons.

Anyone have a good centralized website tracking this information?  MLB.com only has Conrad signed and Google has been worthless.

That's because Pipeline hasn't officially reported the other signings. BA has them all, but I think it's behind a paywall:
