I really think Counsell likes the L-R-L-R-L thing in the lineup. And I don't think he wants to bat Busch lower than 6.  So the options in the five hole aren't that great. So it's Dansby, Kelly, Shaw or Nico. Nico is the most consistent hitter but offers absolutely zero SLG. Might be worth a try given his RISP ability.

I think Nico might make sense.

Cubs currently have the best record in the NL and are a half game up on both the Mets and Dodgers.  Even if the Dodgers win tonight Cubs will still have a slightly better winning percentage.
