My Luke Little propaganda train is running on overdrive right now.

At the very least strong consideration should be given to Neely, Palencia and Little.  Maybe, this completely off the wall but, I’d look at, if he has any options left, farming out Pressly and fast tracking Little.  Move Hodge to the closer, Little to set up, let Pressly work out his problems in Iowa instead blowing games in the Majors.  Do not understand this mentality of letting Pressly work through his problems while costing valuable wins.  That’s why there’s Iowa, it’s where Pressly should be.

My bold prediction *last season* was that Little would be closer by the end of last year. All aboard!

Sending Pressly to Iowa now would mean admitting a mistake.

Pressly has been in the majors for 11 years. There's no options left. To send him to Iowa would require DFA'ing him, and I guarantee another team would immediately scoop him up if the Cubs did that.

Now, could they use the ol' phantom IL to get him a "rehab" stint down there? I'm not not suggesting that.

They have to throw strikes. I hate nibbling. If they can't get guys out with strikes, they have no business in the bigs. You simply cannot walk guys in MLB and not have it hurt you.

Luke Little 25 walks in less than 33 professional innings last year, so not totally sure why he's the hot name around here to solve our 'let's walk every lead off hitter' problems.

ryan pressly only has one option left - the option to start striking some horsefeathers guys out!!!!

I rather go with the guy having plus stuff who isn’t afraid to throw strikes.  Granted, Little has trouble throwing strikes, at least, he isn’t a scared nibbler who doesn’t trust his stuff.

This has big 'if he's a good hitter, why doesn't he hit good' energy.

Cold wet weather for the Rangers series, maybe it'll have a tiny advantage for the Cubs 🤷‍♂️

Night games this early in April is cruel for players and fans.

Okay, is better to continue with Pressly in the hopes he’ll find bite on his slider?  How many games will that cost?

Yes, I would look beyond a six inning sample size when making pitching decisions.
