How does it make sense to send Shota back out, throw five pitches to one hitter, gets him out and then you take him out? You left him in to face a righty so it’s not like you wanted the lefty-lefty matchup. The 9 hitter is coming up so it’s not a 4th time through the order thing.

Not a big deal but I don’t get it.

Hodge against the top of the order again. Not enough sample size to say that's specifically the plan (vs him just being the 8th inning guy), but like how it's working out thus far.

Side note: Tatis is so cool. 

Edit: Mostly ignore this, looked and saw Tatis up with 2 outs and figured he was batting third, forgot he's their lead off guy. Leaning more to Hodge just being the 8th inning guy at this point.
