Olin made the point in pregame that Jaylon said he followed Jefferson no matter where he went last game, but Jaylon won’t follow Jefferson when he goes in motion. It’s that easy to shed the other team’s top corner?

Why would Ben Johnson want to be a part of this?

If Poles is the GM, I can't see any reason he would put himself in that situation with a GM who is already on the hot seat..  It would have to be a complete house cleaning, and I'm not sure the Bears can move that quickly.

He wouldn’t.  It’s going to have to be a candidate who isn’t on a lot of people’s top coach prospects.

I’ve heard rumors that the Bears finally want to spend big on a coach and make a big splash. If that’s true and Poles has to get fired to make the head coach comfortable, fire him. Poles deserves it on merit anyway.

In other words, every other Bears hire for the last 30 years.

And just relying on luck.

I agree with there being no reason why Ben Johnson would come here but I do think they’ll have their opportunity to hire just about whoever else they want. There are only 32 of these positions and football coaches in general think very highly of themselves. They’ll see the mess but they’ll see enough talent here to believe they can fix it. Ben Johnson is just an unusually picky hot shot coordinator (which he has every right to be)

Yea, Ben Johnson ain’t coming here if there’s even remotely a better opening out there.  I mean, would you?

I’m contradicting myself, but the football experts say Chicago is the top open job. You have a young QB, two talented young receivers, a pretty good DE, a shutdown corner, a lot of cap space, and three picks in the top 41.

I mean a coordinator doesn’t get a bunch of bites at the apple.  Accept a terrible situation at your own risk.

Isn’t that what Ben Johnson did last year and he pulled himself out of a few jobs?

What a complete disaster from our LT. Again never should have been in a position to start. Poles had 4 picks going into last years draft after tanking for 2 years and and spent half of them on a punter and an extreme project lineman
