I still think he's got some kind of a nagging injury he's playing through. We know the priorities for next year include pitching, but I'd like to see some better bench guys they can plug in.

I feel like he possibly got caught up in the doubt around his power and it got in his head. To make matters worse it became a public subject when he was in the midst of a horrible slump already. Now he just looks like a guy who is doing anything he can to get on base, minimal damage being done. Don't get me wrong, I will take the 410 OBP but I am hoping he is back to a 20 HR guy next year.

The doubt over his power has been there his entire career. He had 45/50 power grades as a prospect. 55 is average MLB projection,

Pulling this from a bleacher nation article about Paredes:

.333/.448/.462/159 wRC+ on the road (116 PAs)

.101/.170/.139/-5 wRC+ at Wrigley Field (88 PAs)

88 PA's isn't much of a sample size.

The only thing you might take away from that is how is he seeing the ball with Wrigley's batters eye.

All we heard about Peredes was that he was pull heavy but outside of some long foul balls, I haven’t noticed him hitting everything down the line.
