Paredes has been great ay 3B, but man has he been dreadful at the plate.

Yea, if he's still not doing anything with the bat into September,  I'd like to see Triantos or Shaw getting some games in at 3B.

They can't go much worse then 6 for 50 like Paredes is doing.

I like the runnin' Cubs!

Brewers were a pretty good running team, that something I liked about Counsell, he made things happen on the bases over waiting for the HR ball.

Neither of those two are third basemen.

Man, PCA is fun to watch.  No way anyone else on the team gets to 3rd on that throw home and I'd bet almost everyone else at least draws a throw home on the ground ball he scored on.

I like Shaw. I like Triantos. This is a horrible idea. The solution to "Parades is in a slump" is almost assuredly not letting Triantos (88 wRC+ in Triple-A) or Matt Shaw (currently hurt), both of whom probably have shown they aren't 3b (Triantos has logged 7 games there since 2022 and Shaw has since moved back to 2b) there at the MLB level.

It's more probable that the guy who's had a 124 wRC+ over his last (nearly) 1500 PA's gets it together than either of those rookies do in September in their first go.

Shaw has played 42 games there and Triantos can play the position.

It more about getting another bat in the lineup and getting them major league AB over a guy who hitting like crap.

Also, Paredes has some type of injury he's been playing through for awhile.

Kyle in trouble already. I feel bad for him, but he's done.

There was a short period where it looked like he was turning things around somewhat, but now he's heading back the other direction.  I think you are right.

James Triantos hasn't played third base for over a full year because he was really bad at it.

Just a reminder that Isaac Paredes, comfortably above average hitter for the last three years and with three remaining years of team control, is four months older than Christopher 'well we just need to give him consistent ABs while he develops' Morel
