Damn, Gray's ERA has really jumped since I last saw it. The peripherals were still pretty strong though.

Gray's last 5 starts

28.1IP 39H 21ER 5BB 35K  6.67 ERA 3.62 FIP 2.49 xFIP   .425 babip  22.7 HR/FB%

There is no telling with this team from game to game what they will do. If they can score 4 runs I'd say they were in good shape to win.

He’s been running out of gas pretty early in games. But they pushed him back to give him extra rest against us, again.

He had extra rest before his last start too and it didn't help.

Really hoping PCA can keep it going. A lot of hard hit balls recently and he looks so much better than he did early this year. That game in like May where he saw 9 pitches for 3 strikeouts was absolutely brutal.

Last three weeks he's hammering. It will come around.

All four Cardinal starters are guys who work down without much velocity.  Very good matchup weekend for Pete, hopefully he keeps it going.

I still marvel that he his those 2 against them probably a combined 30 inches below the plate lol
