I swear, if some of you had been around when the dunk first showed up you would have completely imploded. "A guy can just put the ball in the hoop?!? BORRRRRRRRRRING."

for real though i do think a good amount of the "league's gone" guys are just fans of bad teams that aren't doing it right yet. Like yeah, if I had to watch the suns play for 82 games, i think i'd be like this horsefeathers sucks man too.

Totally. Like I said, as a Bulls fan I get it if someone ONLY watches the Bulls; it's horsefeathers brutal and frustrating. I'd totally want everything tossed out and Arch Rivals rules instituted instead.

Speaking of basketball video games, I broke out my SNES and have been rocking NBA Live 95. I have no if current day games do this, but I loved that you could set fouls on a sliding scale so that you could get away with some or even all fouls, but then you get down to the wire and the horsefeathers ref finally coughs up his whistle with the game tied up and seconds to go. It rules.

On 95 live me and my brother played a season and we would trade Rodman to every opponent we were about to play, turn the fouls off, and basically knocked his ass all up and down the court for 82 games.

Then the Bulls traded for him and he became one of our favorite players.

Every Bulls fan hated Rodman until he became a Bull. We all still hate Laimbeer, too. And Isaiah Thomas. Hell, I was a huge Thomas fan during the IHSA Championships.

A the end of the day, after all the hand-wringing over the LAL/DAL trade, both teams were bounced 4-1 in the first round

the Lakers were never winning this year with that roster. the Luka trade was about future post-lebron seasons

My bad, I misread a post showing that Luka has lost 4-1 in the first round the last two years

All the "NBA is boring" types are missing out on an awesome playoffs so far.

Yeah but the playoff games barely resemble regular season games

So Cleveland, Boston and OKC all lost game 1. Just like we all predicted.

And Minnesota is still the smallest second round favorite, despite being the only favorite who isn't down in their series.  Crazy start to the second round.

Would be hilarious with these three dominant teams we’ve had all year if none of them made the conf finals. I’m sure at least one of them will get through since four of the five losses were by 3 points or fewer. But this is still shocking. Home teams 0-6 in the second round so far.

Pacers (my team) vs Knicks (my wife’s team) in the EC Finals would make for a tense couple weeks in the champaignchris household.

We barely made it through the second round last year. She even broke out her vintage 1992 John Starks jersey. We’re still in counseling.
