Here is my annoying negative stat of the day:

Here is every instance of the Cubs having a lead of more than 2 runs over the last Cubs 25 games in a 9 inning game:

1. June 9th at Cincinnati - Held a 3+ run lead from the 1st inning to the 7th inning

That's the whole list.  If you want to include extra innings in there the list expands to 2 games with the Cubs May 28th game at Milwaukee where they held that lead in the 10th inning.

I don't really understand Leiter in this spot.  You need 2 more innings after this and Leiter is probably your best relief option today, plus you have 6-7-8 of all RHH due up so it's not like he's serving a particular matchup purpose(though if you used Miller they'd use at least one PH).

I've done this thing lately where I consciously don't watch or follow the Cubs game.  But I'll always end up checking the score around the 7th inning, see that they have a small lead and get sucked into watching only to spend the next hour annoyed.  Not going to make that mistake tonight now that they've fully blown it.
