Sure looks like the Lions got completely hosed on that 2 pt play. The guy clearly went up to the referee before the play and what could he possibly be telling the referee other than that he is eligible for the play?

Should have kicked the xp after the penalty. I know Detroit loves Campbell but his decisions will bite them in the playoffs.  Totally agree with going for 2 originally before the ineligible call.

Worth noting, this game pretty much meant nothing for Detroit. They weren't going to get home-field. They are behind 2 teams in SF and Philly that just so happen to play the 2 teams most desperate to lose games in Arizona and Washington. There was a chance of Week 18 mess happening, but odds are Detroit wasn't passing both teams for HFA.

I have 0 problem going for 2 all 3 times. And it appears they had the win stolen from them. They tried to confuse the defense by having 58, 68 and 70 all look like they were talking to the ref. According to the Lions, only 68 reported as eligible, the other 2 were decoys that didn't say anything. But the Lions wanted it to look like 70 was the eligible guy to cause confusion for the D. They also lined up with an unbalanced line with 2 OL on the left side and 3 on the right side. So, this made it look like 70 was the TE on the right side, but he was actually the "tackle over" on an unbalanced line and since 68 reported, he was actually the TE on the short side of the line. They tried to confuse the Cowboys but just confused the ref. The ref said 70 reported eligible, but he did not. The broadcast was saying the formation was illegal as well, but i don't think that was the case. 68 was the last guy on the line, which makes him eligible. St. Brown was the WR next to him and I think he was off the line. He definitely signaled that he was supposed to be, IDK if the ref would have determined him to be off if the other wasn't confused by who was eligible, but they didn't actually throw a flag for that, which would have been 2 separate penalties.

If there wasn’t much to lose, I guess I get the idea of continually going for 2. But it seemed like a lot of banging head against a wall for no good reason. I can’t tell if Detroit was jobbed or not, but when you attempt to intentionally obfuscate the opponent with reporting different people as eligible you are kind of inviting the refs to ruin it for you.

I didn’t realize how poorly Detroit executed that. Such blatant attempting to confuse. You can’t have three guys go up to the ref like that. I don’t care if the coach explained it beforehand. I’d much rather see Dallas lose, but that was poorly done by Detroit

Jaguars up 9-0 over Carolina at the 2 minute warning in the 1st half. In hopefully it doesn't matter news, the Saints are beating TB 14-0. TB losing would make them be in a make or break game next week against Carolina.

Baltimore is pretty clearly the best team in the NFL. They've beat up on multiple contenders this year. They're up 28-13 on the Dolphins, they destroyed the Lions 38-6, the Browns 28-3, 49ers 33-19 and won 9 of their last 10  games with their only loss being by 2 against Cleveland 33-31.

Carolina down 19-0 going into the 4th quarter.  They have a total of 69 yards of offense through three quarters.

I'm not ready to call someone a bust on one but damn has Bryce Young been bad.

Bills' playoff swing is huge in next week's Bills-Dolphins game. If Bills win, they are the 2 seed. If Bills lose, they are out of the playoffs unless Jags and Steelers lose.
