I don't think he's actually going to be anything other than a funny footnote in Bears history, but watching Bagent really shows how slow Fiedls' drop and release are. The difference is visible.

Nice throw by Bagent but couldn’t stay in bounds. Also looked like he stared him down which may have let to being forced out

Fields ruled out for the game. Guessing the x-ray didn’t look good since they ruled him out so quickly. Could be looking at an extended absence

My not-so-expert analysis after having seen all of 2 series of Bagent.  He may actually be a better QB than Fields, but he's a sitting duck behind this offensive line (and the inconsistent snaps don't help either).  Fields' ability to scramble might be a necessity to have any chance at success with this line.

That was a nice drive. Bagent at worst is a competent backup QB.

I don't know if Bagent is better than Fields as a whole.

I do think his dropback and release are so much quicker and cleaner that it really emphasizes how bad Fields is at those things.
