This was a general thought, mostly impressive at bat.

Completely anecdotal and possibly not backed up by statistics, but I think he has shown some better plate discipline at times towards the end of the season.

Please sell high on Morel this offseason, whatever 'high' means

Why would you want to sell Morel? He's a multiposition 30 HR power bat off the bench that plays like Baez. There's nothing not to like about the guy.

What positions does he play and why hasn't he been playing them

He is a multi-position guy in about the same way Jake Fox was.

Ok, not quite that bad, and much more athletic. But also not good (defensively).

He's been a horrific defender all over the diamond this year, and while there's nothing wrong with having a pre-arb DH with a 120ish wRC+, if someone else loves his team control or thinks more highly of his glove, you have the potential to add someone who could be more impactful.

First off nobody plays like Baez...

The guy has 416 PAs this year. Who cares what position he plays. He's a solid bench player. Every team needs them. He has 2 more years of prearb. There's literally no reason to be looking to trade him unless he's a player the other team covets for whatever reason and his inclusion in the deal is the make or break point for a guy that is a legitimate difference maker.

Wisdom has the same bat, the same defensive value, the same team control, and like 10% of the perceived value. Don't need them both.

I'm sure they've got the Ivy people telling them why you'd rather have Wisdom up with what's left of the season on the line than Tauchman, but I don't get it

He absolutely plays the game with the same passion that Baez did. He may not be as good as Baez was at his peak but that's not what I said.

Seemed like a Good time to give Canario a shot that AB. You already know what you have in Wisdom. Don’t have anything to lose at this point.

He has 416 PAs this year and has given us a 1.0 fWAR on the year. We should be trying to do better. He shouldn't be getting this many PAs on a contending team, he's the kinda guy who should be traded to some non-contending team to see if he turns into anything more while we pick up an ace reliever or a soon to be expensive starter.

Is ceiling not a thing anymore?  Is Morel a finished product?  Good lord, the kid has the  bat already, with plenty of room to grow.

Ya. Put him on the market. I'm sure another Cuas is what this team REALLY needs.
