Dude what the horsefeathers, Madrigal takes a home run hack and then strikes out on a pitch that almost hits the ground.

Did these guys get high before the game? None of this makes any sense

I can see the Reds, Miami and Arizona with a real legit shot at passing the Cubs up for a WC spot.

You mean all the teams that own or about to own the tiebreaker over us and have easier schedules? Yep

Journeyman and underachieving pitchers are lined up outside the ballpark to face this offense.

It's true. We have faced a lot of JAG over the last several weeks and have done minimal damage against them. The Cubs offense completely fading down the stretch is an old and tired trend. Something has to give.

If I thought it mattered who was on the mound at this point I'd be thankful the DBacks are pulling this guy early

Smart move pulling the ****** pitcher before he accidentally gives the Cubs hope and putting someone in to move Happ to the other side of the plate where his season OPS is hovering around .600

There’s too many teams in the race for me to deep dive their bullpen dorks, so I have no idea what we’re going to see the rest of the way here. Just, you know, do that thing where you either sequence hits correctly or, even better, hit balls over the fence.

(Steele settling back into his dominant self is a small silver lining because him going belly up is actually the end of all of this)

Collapsing out of the playoffs will probably be more memorable than whatever garbage we would've put forth in them, so there's that I guess
