Couldn’t figure out how ‘live’ it was. Could be right. Rockies won at least.

The thing I don’t know is how it accounts for tiebreakers. Like right now is it incorporating the fact that the Cubs are probably losing the tiebreaker, or does it just understand that no tiebreaker has been clinched yet regardless of whether the season series is 2-2 or 3-1. If it’s the latter I’d expect the number to plummet bc all the sudden the Cubs have 3 teams within 2 games of them and they all own the tiebreaker

The Cubs were *so close* to getting their first runner to 2B but Nico swung at a pitch a foot low and outside that would have been ball 4. So close!

Why is Boog amazed that hitting a 3 run home run significantly increases a team's odds of winning?

I think he’s trying to get fired honestly. He’s been on a roll tonight

I don’t know how you define ‘plummet’ but being ahead of those three teams and there being two spots available still, mathematically, puts you in a pretty good spot.

I mean plummet relative to their present position. Obviously not going to like 40%. But I could see it dropping to the mid to upper 60s. Today was a very damaging day for the Cubs.  They are still in a solid position on paper but baseball isn’t played on paper

I think often he tries to make more out of statistics than what is actually there. Not everything has to be meaningful.  You can certainly understand how some people get turned off by his shtick.

because it’s not how the enlightened game threader behaves

Happy for you that the cubs royally sucked tonight so you could post your little ‘gotcha’ tonight
