That was stressful

much more stressful series against the Royals than any of us were anticipating but they got the series win so ok then, lets move on.

Cubs will end the day 1 game clear of the playoff cut line, with the Reds, Marlins and Diamondbacks all 1 game back.

As mentioned above, if the Braves can beat the Giants, the Cubs will pull into WC2 by 0.5 games as well.

The Brewers have decided not to lose again so just keep that at 3 games for as long as possible.

Oh well. I’m ok with being a full game ahead of the playoff pace for the first time all season

Series win, Nice! Gotta keep those coming.

Yep, keeping winning series. Expecting sweeps, even against crap teams, is not really realistic.

Next 7 against Detroit and Pittsburgh, be nice to go no worse then 5-2 and pick up 2 games on the Brewers ( 2 Minn. 3 SD) before heading to that series.

Is tomorrow really the first time Javy will face the Cubs since he left?

Edit: come to think of it, Bryant is the only one of the Big 3 that has even played at Wrigley since the trades and that was only a couple weeks after the trade. Hopefully KB is playing when we play at Wrigley in September. Riz and Javy will have to wait for next year to get their return trip to Wrigley

How insane that the best player left from that team is none other than Jason Hayward.
