I would guess the Cubs lead the leagues in GIDP, or at the very least near the top. But they’re actually very near the bottom. They’ve hit into DPs less than all but four teams. I’m surprised.

I didn't watch that inning until the end but I see Kyle allowed a walk, double and 2 lineouts.  Hopefully a blip and he can go 2 more

No way I’m leaving him out there so I’m sure Ross will.

At this pitch count Lyles can probably go 2 more. He’s usually a 5-6 inning starter. Frustrating that we haven’t been able to make him work more.

This lineup is just a big GB machine right now

Playing terrible teams is masking the slump. But that’s probably a good thing. Teams are going to slump during the year, better it now against teams we can still beat and then have the offense humming again by the time we face the Brewers 🙂

The offense has been awful, only 3 on lyles and haven't been able to put much up against  bottom feeding teams. Really concerned for when teams above .500 will be coming back around on the schedule.

Lyles now has 3 quality starts on the year... Can't believe we haven't done more against this bum

Like I was saying in the other post these things come in cycles. We’ve seen the Cubs offense be a juggernaut for entire months now. Long enough that it clearly wasn’t a fluke, they have that capacity in them. They also have the capacity to struggle for weeks too. Hopefully in 10 days when we play Milwaukee we’ll be back on a nice run
