DSL games delayed again....Is it just me or is the weather more of a factor this year for that league?

The ocean is the hottest its ever been. I think temps for the water in the Carribean are close to 80-90. It's going to cause a lot of rain.

It's like the days of the Daytona Cubs where it felt like there were multiple rain outs weekly.

Horton: 4 IP, 5 H, 3 R,  2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K

Rujano: 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K

Horton struggled with consistency, but also was the recipient of horrible defense by both Nwogu and Roederer and some bad dinky hits in the 2nd.  Not his best, but the line looks worse than Horton deserved.

Not sure I've seen two different outfielders overrun a ball on consecutive at bats before.

Those two plays were horrendous.  I'll give them that maybe the Biloxi wind was being weird (there was a high pop the 2b seemed to really struggle with as well), but from the outside looking in...woof.

Mason McGwire (4 IP, 6 Ks), Zhyir Hope (2/2 with a BB), and Carter Trice (2 2Bs) are having maybe their best pro games tn

McGwire was more encouraging than his overall line too considering he was perfect through 2 with 4 Ks

Hope starting his pro career 6 for 16 with a HR and 5/4 BB/K definitely has my attention.

Early on, out of the Hernandez Brothers, Alexis seems to be the more interesting of the two by a decent margin.

Alexis 2023 ACL (so far)

135 PA   .336/.430/.543

Christian 2022 ACL

175 PA   .261/.320/.357

Interesting when you consider Christian was the much higher rated prospect. Still early for both no doubt, but it just shows you how much of a crapshoot international prospects and their rankings can be.
