Good news: Secondary had a really good day today, especially the rookies in camp.

Bad news: Well....you can guess

None of this means anything substantial at all but I'm happy to hear guys like Stevenson are showing up and looking good

Apparently Velus Jones threw punches at Brisker after he celebrated a pass break up lol.  Not sure if its frustration because the offense hasnt been sharp the last 2 days but probably not an ideal thing to happen even though its not usual for fights to break out at camp.

Also more importantly, Tevin Jenkins was helped off the field today with an injury and Getsy said he does not have an update on the injury yet.

According to Justin Fields, this is really the first day the defense "got" the offense. He said yesterday was OK, pretty even, and that the offense got them the first few days.

I don't think this is a big deal. As Fields also explained, they are gameplanning for the defense. The defense has seen most of the plays the offense has to offer. They are getting familiar with certain looks.

I'm sure this happens most camps that don't have Mahomes. Doesn't mean the offense is doomed. Doesn't mean the defense is going to be any good. Real concern is both OGs missed most of practice with injuries.

I'm not taking too much stock into it.  I have never seen a full training camp and don't know anything about the ups and downs.  I assume there are ups and downs for every team.  It's not much better if the offense just dominated the D all camp either, though I'd rather that than the inverse (not saying the inverse is happening).  Just thought Mooney's comments were interesting.

Defense dominated the offense all last year in camp, supposedly. I didn't hear that til this week, but it explains a lot.

Frankly I'd be concerned if the defense wasn't starting to beat the offense after seeing them day in and day out. This is like a pitcher going through the order for a 3rd or 4th time, of course the advantage is going to swing to the hitter.

So caught up in the Cubs game I didnt even see this news.  That's fantastic.  He's only 28 too so its not like we're hoping he avoids a sharp decline.

Bears are signing TE Mercedes Lewis as well.

One of the best blocking TEs in the league, has worked with Getsy and knows the offense.  Veteran presence to boot.  Solid (albeit not super consequential) add.
