I have no idea if Bellinger can keep doing this or if he's just getting really lucky, but in the past month he seems to have perfected poking the ball through any opening on the field.

What a horsefeathers terrible AB for Seiya with runners at the corners and 1 out.

edit: Dansby bails him out

Bellinger has a magic bat right now.

At the very least, it's gonna look good come the deadline.

TIFWIW, but Levine claims Cubs are more likely to keep Bellinger than Stroman.  Not sure exactly what that means (or how likely it is)

Why didn’t Belli slide?

Easy go ahead run if he slides instead an inning is over

It makes some sense given the QO all but guaranteeing the Cubs either an extra season or a compensation pick.

The QO also makes it harder for the Cubs to recoup the loss of that comp pick with a prospect return.

Well, it would make sense just by the nature of Bellinger having the comp pick tied to him that the Cubs aren't in a position where they HAVE to trade him.

Bellinger is typically pretty sharp on the bases, really weird that he thought he was just going to coast home without a play. What a break for the Cardinals
