Not using the easy answer of Pujols for the 3,000/500 seems like a miss.  He terrorized the Cubs long enough that we should all have Pujols PTSD.

Miguel Cabrera was still fresh in my mind.

I'm sitting at 7/9 right now and refuse to guess on my last two. How long can I torture myself with this today?

I got stuck on the Angels/Nats Angels/Marlins combos.  All the others were pretty easy.  My Cubs/Marlins answer was a 0.3%.

Those are the two I'm stuck on. Wasn't there a high profile FA who went from the Nats to the Angels? It's driving me crazy and I refuse to look it up.

The other 7 were super easy

I made a guess and failed. 7/9, best score yet

The player I couldn't remember was

Only 6/9 for me today. I would have been much better at this game as a kid. My memory sucks these days. I tried to get cute with a couple 20 game winner guesses which bit me in the ass. None of my correct picks were over 44% though. Never even thought about using Expos players for the Nats.

I rattled off 8 in a row pretty easily, but I only know like 5 guys who have ever played for the Angels or the Marlins. No chance I was remembering someone who did both.

Edit: Lol, never would have guessed that donkey.

Using Expos players shouldnt be a valid answer IMO 😆

I got a .05% for that square. Probably the lowest I'll ever get.

Same.  I remember probably 20 years ago my friends used to quiz me by giving me a team and a position and I would name the starter at that position and I was like 95% accurate.  Now I'm like 'if the answer is not juan pierre, carlos zambrano, the dude hitting .400 or jeff conine I'm going to fail this category'

Anyways, my rarest answer today was Fernando Rodney for Cubs/Nationals (0.4%)

Mine was DLee for Cubs/Marlins at 15%.

my lowest ones today were

Spoiler

Casey Kotchman (0.6%) for Marlins/Angels - lucky guess, thought he came to the Angels from the Marlins... a few games for the Marlins at the end of his career.  Jeimer Candelario for Nats/Cubs (1%), Hee-Seop Choi for Marlins/Cubs at 0.5% and Charlie Root (0.2%) for Cubs 20 game winner

Got 8 out of 9 today, but lost a guess because I picked the wrong player with the same name as the right player for one of the squares. Not sure it would have mattered since I couldn't think of anything for that top middle square.

I knew I was in trouble today when Rookies of the Year was a category - I stink at those. I managed to get 2 of them but whiffed the middle row.

I got a .5% with my Phillies/Tigers pick for (sentimental favorite ex-Cub) Willie Hernandez.

I got a .3% for Blue Jays 40 HR because I mixed up Tony Batista with Jose Bautista.  I probably shouldn’t get credit for that one.

Totally fell on my face today. I was SO SURE that I knew some of them and was wrong about most of them.

Also made the mistake of using

Spoiler

Barry Bonds

as the SF 100 RBI guy when I should have used him elsewhere
