Carlos Guzman is in. Is he a prospect or a dude? He's filling up the strike zone.

He's what they got for McKinstry.  Converted infielder, this is his first season in relief and it's off to a good start so far.  Odds are probably against him making a 40 man roster though.

Re: Caissies strikeouts, I think it's more of a deep counts issue than a swing and miss issue.

Entering today, of the 229 qualified hitters at AA, he's 38th highest in terms of swing and miss, but he's also 24th highest in terms of pitches per plate appearance (4.45).

He's still gotta clean up the contact for sure, but it's probably not as egregious a problem as his 50% K rate would tell you.

Morel just went deep off of one of the most unhittable pitchers in the minors, Andrew Abbott. Kid has 43 Ks in 20 IP. That's the first HR hes allowed.

I was looking for holes in Morel's game. Admittedly, the K rate is bad. And probably won't ever be good. But I was hoping he'd be able to add some speed to the team (not that we're lacking, but speed is great), and was a little disappointed in him only having 8 steals. Figured 88 PAs, hitting over .300, has lots of chances. And then realized he has (going into today) 23 hits but only 8 singles, which is pretty nuts. That BABIP of .400 sounds a lot better if he's making loud contact that often.
