Okay, thanks. I'll add it to the bug list to look into.

Looks like I may have inadvertently been "following" the Cubs Talk forum. Maybe unfollowing that will fix the issue

Are there any known issues with the search functionality?  I routinely can't get it to unearth posts that I know exist.  An example, recently I was trying to find this post of mine about Brandon Birdsell:

When I go to Search, no combination of Birdsell or the exact "Birdsell's" makes it show up in results, and the search options don't appear to be limiting anything: https://northsidebaseball.com/search/?&q=Birdsell's&search_and_or=or

I've seen this in trying to track down posts of all ages and as you see in the above it's not that there's *no* results, it's just that they're incomplete.  Am I missing something or is there maybe an indexing issue for the search?

The mobile experience is really bad right now. You have to almost click a link and then out your phone down while everything loads, otherwise simply scrolling keeps getting jumped around by late-loading ads and embedded tweets.

Additionally, the “jump to first new post” functionality basically does t exist because of the ads. Even when things fully load, it usually lands me 4 or 5 posts behind where it should.

I'll take a look at the load times. The jump to post thing is super-aggravating, I'm going to see if I can some up with a better solution for that.

Is there anyway to embed more than one post when you're quoting? This is probably just me getting old, but seemed easier to track the conversation when I could, for example, quote A quoting B and have both their messages show up with mine in my post.

Yes, click on the + sign next to quote, scroll to the next post you want to quote, do the same, then scroll down to the text field to type and both are there.

There is no embedded quotes, though, because the general thinking nowadays is that a person spends more time taking out unnecessary quotes than occasionally embedding multiple quotes.

I have gone into my notification settings and turned off "email" for everything, yet I still get daily emails from the site

Are they graphical emails or text?

Graphical. They are emails alerting me when people post articles.  I haven't figured out how to opt out of them

Somewhat related (minor annoyance), but when a game thread is moved from Cubs Talk to the Game Thread forum, it shows up as "unread", even if I've completely read it

Interesting. I'll have to dig into that but I don't think that behavior was happening before the last couple of updates. It might be a bug.

FWIW I've seen this pretty consistently. I can't recall if it was happening at the very beginning when we migrated over(partially because there weren't game threads or articles on day 1, the most common movers), but it definitely has happened 100% of the time for a while.

Yeah, happens to me all the time. I'll check the site on my desktop or tablet and clear out the notifications, but then if I check on my phone later that day some or all of the notifications are back as "new."

Anyone else having any issues with slow loading times from desktop browsers?  No issues on mobile, but if I try to go to NSBB it just sits there "thinking" for about 10-12 seconds before loading.  Once it loads, there are no issues loading subsequent pages.  Been happening for ~2 weeks but only now getting annoyed enough to bring it up.

Any posts with tweets in them typically take over 15 seconds to load on desktop for me.

Not important, but just curious.  What are the member titles tied to here?  I've been a member of the forum since the very beginning,  but I see others are "old-timey" members while I am "verified"

They were tied to some additional permissions we were using during the transition. Now, they effectively mean nothing at least between verified/old-timey. Provisional members still exist and must have their content approved before it appears.

Similarly, I'm a bit curious about the algorithm for the levels (A, AA, AAA, etc.).  I have seen some people with similar post counts who are right around the same level as me, and others who are at a much higher level for no apparent reason.  It doesn't really matter at all, but I still wonder what kind of black magic is going on under the hood.
