#1 lesson from this game: Fields is so good he was single-handedly keeping the Bears in games that would ALL have looked like this if not for him.

Maybe it's because they're playing a terrible Bears team, there's nothing all that impressive about the Jets. There's a good chance Vikings put a 30-spot on them next week.

If Justin Fields leads the Bears to a Super Bowl win, I want Russell Wilson to get a ring. The Bears NOT trading for him gave us Fields. And his ineptitude to lose horribly to the Panthers may help the Bears get a franchise changing trade for the 2nd overall pick.

The jump in quality of opponent from one week to the next will be massive. They weren’t playing an NFL-caliber team today.

Sucks because we could have had 2 and 34 overall. I still get the logic behind the trade for Claypool but that’s tough to swallow. Either way trade down and collect picks and we’ll be fine. Poles is gonna do some magic to get us a haul IMO

Great news Bears fans - you get to watch this team in Chicago in December for 4 of the last 5 games!

I have tickets to the game against Green Bay next week. If Fields isn't playing then I don't think I want to go, lol.

I remain convinced there are 4 good teams, the Bills, Chiefs, Eagles and Cowboys. Everyone else is different levels of meh to bad and games break for or against them from week to week. The Bengals and Ravens are close to good, but seem a step behind. The Vikings are a 9-2 team that should be more like 6-5. Every team in the NFC South, West and AFC South are varying levels of bad where one team has to emerge as a playoff team.

As crappy as it is watching these Bears making flotsam and jetsam QB's like Marriota and White look competent, it could be worse. Could be tanking and be the Rams, at least, the Bears have the facilities to overhaul their roster with a lot of quality players. Rams do not have a 1st rounder until 2024, saw their projected cap space at about 6.85 million, in other words not much to work with.

they also have 2 super bowl wins in the last 23 years

Browns win, thank you very much.

Jags came back and beat the Ravens too. Double benefit. Jags get a win and Ravens 2nd round pick rises

I’m gonna be scouring the market looking to take my kids to their first game. Normally GB would be a tough ticket but I’m guessing GB fan enthusiasm is low too

True enough, the Bears are in far better position for the future though.

I'm so torn about the GB game next week. I hate Rodgers and I want the Bears to bury him, but a meaningless win could cost them 7 or 8 spots in the draft. I'm hoping Fields doesn't play so I can tilt toward favoring a loss.

I want the Bears to bury the horsefeathers to but, this Bears team isn't capable of stopping a college football team let alone a professional football team. No reason whatsoever to play him in what's going to be a feel good, look better game for the Packers.

FWIW Eberflus said Fields is improving and there’s a real chance he plays next week Still not rooting for individual losses, especially against GB. I’ll enjoy the benefit if we do lose but would sicken me to see Fields breakout season end at 3-14

Actually correction today I was rooting for a loss with pretty much every player I care about for the future out including Fields. But I’ll be rooting to beat the Packers next week

I mean, he didn't bring the Colts defense with him. They stayed in Indianapolis.

As for the Bears' current defense, it's down their best two players from the start of the season and by the end of today was playing with 1 legitimate defensive starter that they can use going forward and a couple of rookie projects.

should we be concerned that eberflus’ speciality is defense and our sucks ass and the colts is just as good as it was under him

He gets a pass given the talent on that defense even before Smith and Quinn were traded. If they acquire talent and still suck, there should be some smoke however Williams would be on the hot seat 1st (same philosophy).

Should it be Pete Carroll that gets the ring? I thought he came in and killed the trade.

That would have been the ultimate pace parting gift: three firsts traded for a dead russ on a trash team with no picks

Luckily some of the bad teams won today so 1 win won't kill them. Hoping the Raiders beat the Seahawks.
