the offense almost doesnt need to be upgraded at this point. maybe accented, better interior OL perhaps, more time developing Fields/Mooney/Claypool/Kmet

Thank Christ you’re not our GM. This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen on here in a while.

The biggest piece to any nfl team puzzle is the qb. that appears to be solved with Fields. Whats dumb about that? they have the rest of the season to evaluate who they have around him and its not the "dumbest take" to suggest that they may end the season higher on those guys then they were even 2 weeks ago. clearly there are holes, I'm not saying ignore the offense in the off season

You said maybe it doesn’t need to be upgraded. It very clearly needs to be upgraded.

I'm thinking I'm going to try to make a playoff run with Fields as my FF QB. I have Lamar Jackson as my starter. He had 2 games similar to Fields yesterday in Weeks 2 and 3, but his point output has decreased every week. Going to trade to trade him for Jaylen Waddle on a team with no shot at playoffs.

Not a bad idea. Fields' schedule is pretty friendly too for the rest of the fantasy regular season. Unfortunately the Bears bye comes the last week of the fantasy regular season which might be rough if you are fighting for a playoff spot the last week. Also his fantasy playoff opponents (Philly, Buffalo) are pretty tough

Yeah, I saw that as well. Maybe I could trade Fields at his highest point? But it's also a keeper league where we keep 1 player and lose the pick for that round the following year. But Fields will be one of the best keepers there is, even if he isn't QB1 the rest of the way like he's been the last month.

This week was pretty legendary in my fantasy league. Most of my usual starters were on bye or hurt this week, so I had 5 Bears (9 total scoring positions) in my lineup. Fields, Montgomery, Kmet, Bears defense and Bears kicker. And I won by 26 points. Hahahaha!

I'm starting Fields in my King Of the Mountain Survivor league. Started with over 4000 entries and I still have one team in the final 100 playing for $25K.

While I am 100% in for the tank for the rest of the season for best possible draft position, it still makes me mad when they have a game within reach and an outside force denies that opportunity. Putting those two PI calls side by side, there is absolutely no way you can call the one against the Bears over the one the Dolphins committed in a potential game winning drive. I would definitely be issuing a complaint to the league office.

The final score was exactly what I'm hoping to see going forward. Maybe not allowing 35 points would be my one request, unless they are playing the Falcons since I have them in my 3/35 pool.

if you want losses you're gonna have to deal with them giving up 35 points lol

I specifically don't want the opposing team to get 35 points. 36, 37, hell even 60 is fine. 35 pays out in our 3/35 pool and that's no good unless it's the Falcons.

I read your post as saying you didn't think the offense needs to be upgraded. It's exactly how it reads whether you agree or not. I see a need for one more playmaking WR and at least 2 OLinemen. By adding 2 linemen, I believe you turn the line into a strength as they will also now have respectable depth at most of the positions.

Nah, you are all misreading it and in my haste of getting through the day at work I just let it fester

after years of trying to build an offense and failing at nearly every turn, the last 3 games make it seem like the Bears as a franchise has turned a corner. Tge offense isn't perfect, clearly it's not, everyone knows that. But the biggest change has been Justin Fields. The one thing the Bears have never had prior was a top flight qb

It's horsefeathering exciting

A bit late but PFF grades from last week. Fields continues to be graded highly but still largely on the weight of his running

"he didnt take the coaching" lollololol - get lost creep

Oh man, he's my favorite NFL coach by a wide margin.

I cant tell if hes serious there or not, but I took it as a pretty condescending remark. Like, why would JF listen to an opposing coach?

if he was joking, well work on your delivery a bit dude (McDaniels - not you)

He was clearly joking, and his delivery was so good that you couldn't tell he was joking. He has a future in stand up. I want to see him in a Curb episode, pronto.
