Like last week it ultimately won’t matter because if they go undefeated they will likely jump OSU/Michigan loser or Tennessee (by virtue of winning conf championship game while Tennessee doesn’t play in theirs)

I'm much too happy to be annoyed about this and wasn't even going to bring it up, but since Brian did himself:

SMU-Houston ended 77-63 today in regulation. The over under was 66, which they passed with 5:34 left in the second quarter. It was 56-35 at halftime which means the second half was only 28-21. The two teams had 27 total drives in the game. 20 ended in TDs, 3 in interceptions, 1 on downs, 1 at the end of the game, 1 on a missed FG (end of the half and was attempted on 1st down) and 1 punt.

I don't know that you can put anyone clearly above Georgia. I do think Ohio State (if healthy - they've had JSN out injured plenty and have had some issues at RB too) is probably the most talented team, but Georgia just wrecked Tennessee (TN offense - 3.9 yards/play, 2/14 on 3rd down) and held them to 3 field goals until a TD with 4 minutes left when the game was well in hand despite TN averaging 49 ppg coming in.

The SEC is down. Alabama has the best talent, but Saban is on cruise control at this point and his assistant coaches aren't of the same quality he use to attract. I don't think Tennessee has nearly enough talent to compete with either OSU or Michigan and the outcome would be the same as Georgia. I"m not an OSU fan in the least. They have the most talent at the most important positions of any team outside of Alabama. I wish they could play next week, but we shall see what happens. I don't think OSU or Georgia is going to lose before the national championship game.
