James Harden with another vintage playoff performance. 4-16 from the field including 0-6 from 3.

Philly should have closed that thing out tonight.

why did we trade Jimmy Butler again?

The simple answer was that he wanted to win a championship and the Bulls wanted to be profitable.

Hopefully the Nuggets will finish off the Lakers tonight, James' act, his flopping, complaining about nearly every call is getting tiresome.  Not to mention I'll be glad to see his surrounding cast (save for Davis) of basketball flotsam and jetsam out of the playoffs.
Then there's the Heat who quite probably have a less talented collection of basketball flotsam and jetsam than the Lakers yet, to their credit, are going to advance the to NBA Finals. Where their magical run will end, they won't have the good fortune of playing a disinterested team, think there's a real good chance the Nuggets will sweep.

The Bulls might have changed the course of basketball history by losing after Coby White hit a 3 to put the Bulls up by 3 with 3:45 left in an elimination game vs Miami.

This Heat team that is 1 win from the Finals was 3:45 away from not even qualifying for the playoffs.

Bulls were up 1 with about 2:18 left. I wish I could see a game log that shows when Donovan took out Coby & Drummond. That seemed to change things in a bad way.

Coby was pulled for Beverly right after Butler hit the shot (and got fouled) with 2:17 left.  For some reason being down 1, potentially 2, with 2:17 left was the optimal time to remove our best shooter that game for a guy who can't score.

Drummond was removed for Caruso with 8:27 left as the Bulls took (I think) their biggest lead of the game at 6 points.

Masterclass by Donovan

Do really think they'll beat Denver in the finals?  I know it's crap shoot however, the Heat is greatly benefiting from playing a badly coached Celtic team who appears they'd rather be doing anything else but, playing basketball.

Lakers swept. You hate to see it.

Seriously though, how much longer can LeBron keep doing this?  He played all 48 minutes tonight, scored 40 points, and was 1 assist from a triple double.

He will be 39 years old next season and, as much as he is a complete freak of nature, time has to catch up to him eventually.

Not sure when he’ll completely slow down, his body has started to break down a little from when he was nearly indestructible early on. He’s fallen to top 10 player status with the ability to look like the top guy on occasion. Either way he will play at least 2 more years so he can play with his son which is actually pretty cool as long as Bronny actually deserves to be in the NBA and is not being forced onto a roster to satisfy LeBron

It's going to be a real stretch for Bronny to be 1-and-done to the NBA though.  I also have a hard time envisioning a scenario where teams are willing to throw away a first round draft pick just to attract a 40+ year old LeBron. It will be really interesting to see how that all plays out.

Like you said, it will eventually. But this could be a Brady like trajectory. There are the reports that he spends $1M per year on his body. And certainly some injury luck involved too. But when you start at such a high peak, and you're fortunate to have smoothed the aging curve better than anyone else has in your sport, you can still be at 80-85% (or whatever it is) of what you once were. And whatever percentage of LeBron that is, it's still a very, very good player even at his age.

That being said it's super impressive that he hasn't had some huge dropoff. It's more of just little dropoffs here and there. He can't go all out all the time. He's not quite the defender he once was and doesn't get those chasedown blocks with regularity.

Gotta make sure Brian Windhorst gets plenty of air time this offseason speculating on LeBron's future.

Was thinking about that as well, do not know if the Heat have anyone capable of guarding him.  This and I find it hard to believe the Nuggets will let guys like Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Caleb Martin and an old Kevin Love beat them heck, I find it hard to to believe they're doing so well against the Celtics.

I think it’s going to be similar to the 2020 Finals for Miami. Denver is on a heater right now and it’s going to take something special from Miami to beat them.
