It's going to be a real stretch for Bronny to be 1-and-done to the NBA though.  I also have a hard time envisioning a scenario where teams are willing to throw away a first round draft pick just to attract a 40+ year old LeBron. It will be really interesting to see how that all plays out.

Bronny is going to be a 1-and-done and with his improvements plus a weak 2024 draft, he'll probably be a lottery pick.

I looked up 3 recruiting sites and he’s ranked 19, 21 and 26. Seems like a bit of a stretch to say he’s going to be a top-14 pick. He certainly could be, of course. But he’s not even in the top-14 among incoming freshman and that doesn’t account for any Euro guys or So/Jr/Sr who might be lottery picks also. He’s going to have to make a leap at USC this year.

If there's ever going to be an NBA coming back from being down 3 in a 7 game series this Celtics-Heat series may be the one.  The Celtics, when they come to play, are so obviously the superior team, they've got a chance.

Patrick Williams didn't even start at Florida State and he was drafted #4 after one season in college. ESPN had him as the #28 recruit in his class when he signed at FSU.

Jonathan Givony has him in the lottery next year (in the top 10 at that!), and Jonathan is the best in the NBA Draft world, imo.

Again, it’s a weak draft next year, he’s really improved his senior year and I’m sure his bloodlines will help him improve his draft position.

Some might be surprised to see James, ranked anywhere from 28 to 43 by the major recruiting services, as a potential top-10 pick. James has earned his spot in lottery conversations with the significant jump he has made at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California, this season, developing into arguably the best perimeter defender in his high school class while making strides in his perimeter shooting and playmaking ability.

As most of his peers have flatlined the past 12 to 18 months, James has grown, filled out his frame, found another gear with his explosiveness and become an absolute terror off the ball defensively thanks to his outstanding intensity and feel for the game. He still has plenty of room to improve his ballhandling and pull-up jumper to become a more prolific and efficient shot creator, but he has already caught the eyes of NBA decision-makers with the way he contributes to winning and likely will continue to grow and fill out his game.

Celtics about to make history.

Game 6 is the big one, should be the toughest, if the Celtics put forth the effort of the past two games they'll win.  The Heat will be toast in a game 7, I'm certain they're going to throw everything they've left to get game 6.

I think the absolute funniest thing would be if the Celtics came back from down 0-3 only to lose Game 7.

Second funniest thing would be for them to finish off the comeback and then get swept by the Nuggets.

The least funniest thing would be for them to finish off the comeback, sweep the Nuggets giving Boston another title and their fans pointing out 2004 Red Sox parallels for the rest of time.

Bam and Jimmy 5-28 so far tonight. Not great.

Did Rachel Nichols break up with Butler a few days ago?

That's it, think the Heat blew their wad tonight, do believe they'll much if anything left for game 7.  Just can't see all the Heat's   undrafted scrubs carrying them to win in Boston Monday night.

Agreed. Philly is a better team than Miami but I felt the same way after Game 6 in that series too. That game was there for the taking for them tonight. Boston didn't play all that well and Miami was 0,2 seconds away from finishing it off.

can’t imagine a more crushing loss than that in the nba

The 2 that come to mind are the 0.4 Fisher shot, though that was only the conference semis, and the Ray Allen shot in Game 6 of Miami-San Antonio since the Spurs probably win the title if he misses that.

Probably is an understatement. Allen makes that shot at 5.7 seconds left with the Spurs up 3. If it misses, the Heat either have to get the rebound at like 3 seconds and kick it out for a desperate 3 or foul the Spurs after they get the rebound, hope they miss both FTs and rebound and throw up a desperation 3 since they were out of TOs. Even though I hated the Heat I was so in awe of the amazingness of that shot. Changed NBA history.

Butler' done, the mind is willing but, the body is not.  Just don't see how the Heat can win tonight, I don't believe the Celtics are going to struggle from the 3 point line like they did in game 6.  Really should have never gone this far, this series has totally been about one team sleep walking their way through the first 3 games than it has about the other team' good play.

Please show me that horsefeathers Portnoy in the crowd. This is all I dreamed of.

(Don’t blow this, Miami)

Tatum has a hurt ankle and Miami is content to just let him sit in the corner on defense every possession. The Knicks did this too when Butler hurt his ankle and I don't understand.

Well that was an enjoyable watch.

I'm both shocked and not shocked at the result. Shocked because I can't believe Miami bounced back from a devastating Game 6 loss. But not shocked because this Boston team lays eggs from time to time. They couldn't close out a crappy Atlanta team at home in Game 5. They lost at home in Game 1 to Philly who was without Embiid. They got handled at home in Game 5 against Philly with the series tied 2-2. Then this series where they lost the first two at home and then no-showed Game 3.
