A little homer, obviously, but this is the best Saints team since ‘18. If the O-line stays healthy they’re championship caliber. The Falcons,Seahawks and Giants are going to suuuuck.

Jameis is still the QB and your head coach has a career 8-28 record.

I’m not saying it’s impossible and that coaches never improve, but there’s a big drop off from Payton to Allen.

Jamies and Dalton? Championship caliber?

Again, Jameis was 5-2 with 14 TD and 3 INTs before he went down last year. That was while Callaway and Deonte Harris were his top two receivers, who are on the depth chart behind Thomas, Landry and Olave this year. They finished 9-8 last season while having to start an NFL record number of players due to injury, including 4 QBs and 4 kickers. Jameis only has to be sorta good with that defense, but I’d expect the offense to be middle of the pack at worst.

As for Payton to Allen, the rest of the staff is completely carried over. I don’t expect there to be a big drop off there with that continuity. I’m all in.

Raw, I can totally see all that, except what do you see in the Vikings?

I’m seeing a lot of Philly love, but I don’t have that much faith in Hurts. He still hasn’t shown much throwing ability IMO.

The AFC West is going to be ridiculous this season. Pete Carroll might be on his way out after the year with that schedule.

The Vikes had one of the boomerest offenses AND defenses in the NFL, in terms of scheme and coaching, in the NFL. Both of those things are changing. I don't think they'll outpreform the Packers, but I don't think it's insane to predict it.

Boy the NFC kinda sucks.

I'm not gonna do division by division but some general thoughts/predictions/expectations:

- Age finally catches up to Tom Brady, and thus the NFC ends up being pretty putrid. The Rams wind up as the only NFC team in the top 5 in the NFL after all is said and done. Packers spend a lot of time looming on the periphery, and no other NFC team comes close to elite-ness

- Don't worry though, the AFC still holds its righful place as by far the worst division in football. The Colts win like 11 games and the division while being ~19th in DVOA

- The Bills go something like 14-3, but get pantsed by whatever team comes out of the west in the playoffs

- Ravens and Bengals are much closer than most are acknowledging, Ravens actually a bit better

- The Baker Mayfield revenge tour actually ends up being semi-successful, with the Panthers winning like 9-10 games

- Trey Lance is basically a Jalen Hurts clone rather than the Pat Mahomes clone everyone is trying to will him into being

Edit: I think it's clear from context clues but looks like my autocorrect ate the word "South" from that second point. The AFC South is steaming trash
