Just got word from a source close to Jordan Wicks that he is not starting tonight. Chris Clarke gets the start in SB, and Wicks starts tomorrow.

At what point does Jared Young pass Rivas on the depth chart for strong side platoon duties?

 

Young is going to have to keep this going for a while. He was pretty rough at AAA last year (only 141 PA but he was 25). Rivas has the advantage defensively and I believe the hit tool, so Young really needs to show a big advantage in power.

North Side Bound (NSB2?) said he was at 6 pitches seen per AB which doesn't really make much sense as a stat but if he's in fact working deep counts then the Ks aren't super worrying imo, his swinging strike was like 15% last i looked which is perfectly livable if he's selling out for more XBH
