Was talking to a coworker who is a Yankees fan yesterday and Rizzo got brought up. He said something about Rizzo being aggressive on the bases and how it often won't work out. All I could do was chuckle because a Rizzo TOOTBLAN when he was with the Cubs was a staple for years.

Cuas had a night last night:

  • 2 HBP
  • 1 BB
  • 1 Hit

on only three pitches!

(the walk was intentional)

Avert your eyes:

.185/.211/.254 1 HR
.203/.299/.398 4 HR
.186/.307/.279 2 HR
.223/.289/.341 8 HR
.224/.306/.395 10 HR

Those are the 2024 batting lines of members of the 2016 champs.

It's not all bad:

.266/.399/.519 9 HR (but injured last 2 months)

The only active pitchers from that team are Hendricks (1-7, 7.56 ERA) and Aroldis Chapman

.250/.373/.447 with 17 HR for the guy you didn't include.

Also, are you just talking about guys who played in the WS or anybody who played for the Cubs in 2016? Because Candelario debuted that year and Zastryzny was recently called up by the Brewers.

Who did I forget?

I was mostly considering the main dudes. I listed Baez, Heyward, Rizzo, Bryant and Contreras (not in that order).

EDIT: Oops, forgot Schwarber (who had all of 5 regular season PA's)
