Mayo bowl? Should be annual matchup between BYU and Duke (yes, i know it's Duke's Mayo) but these are the 2 whitest FBS programs I could think of.

Iowa is sitting right there.

Also Wyoming and Air Force come to mind.

I think Iowa and Wyoming are the whitest states, but I never think of Iowa as being a predominately white football program. And like UM said, I don't think about Wyoming at all.

Josh Allen, seventh overall pitch in the 1st Round of the. 2018 NFL Draft. A few spots behind Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold,a few spots in front of Josh Rosen yikes, and ahead of Lamar Jackson.

Anyone have a list of the best DCs turned head coaches currently in college football? Everyone down here is wet for Brent Venables (I like him) but i think mainly it's because he's an ex-OU guy who was treated unfairly in retrospect by the program, and is now riding in on a white horse to rescue OU fans from their inferiority complex after Riley bolted. Do DCs ever make good head coaches? I dont know.

Luke Fickell was Ohio St’s co-DC.

Brian Kelly was Grand Vally State’s DC before becoming HC. He’s been a HC ever since.

Some guy called Nick Saban had been Michigan St’s and the Cleveland Brown’s DC before becoming HC of Michigan St.

Urban Meyer was never a coordinator on either side of the ball, but got his start as a d-back and linebackers position coach.

Weirdly enough, 3 of the 4 playoff teams this year and 9 of the top 13(Kelly, Aranda, Tucker, Whittingham, Narduzzi, Sitake) have head coaches from the defensive side of the ball. Only Ohio St, Michigan, OK State, and Ole Miss have offensive head coaches in that group. There's guys like Bielema and Orgeron who have had significant if not sustained success. Pete Carroll is a defensive coach.

Cristobal leaving Oregon for Miami per multiple reports. Chip Kelly said to be favored to go to Oregon for a 2nd tour, which is just delicious.

Weren't his Wisconsin teams quite successful?

He did have some succesful teams, but using Coach O and especially Bielema as examples of success doesn't further any argument.

Admittedly, I'm mostly just salty about anything positive said about Bielema. Between Chad Morris, Bielema and John L Smith (SMILE!), Arkansas had a run of some embarrasingly godawful coaching.

68-24 over 7 seasons with 3 conference titles and 3 top 10 finishes.

Not sure if y’all ever saw the clips of Lincoln Riley’s USC press conference but it looked like it was filmed by the local High School AV club in a basement warehouse. They had 12 band members and 3 cheerleaders. It was pathetic. This clip killed me.

I mean, he's probably right.

For the most part. It's obviously a bad look if anyone complains about it - Kiffin just got a big-ass extension from Ole Miss in part so he wouldn't do the same thing - but if you're just observing it's fair to say it.

And on that topic, the #1 recruit in the country has just flipped from Florida State to.....Jackson State to play for Coach Prime. Word is that he's getting a large NIL deal from Barstool, which also has a deal with Coach Prime himself.

Yes, we get that coaches are giant hypocrites who chase money then get all “college athlete” when it comes to students doing the same. Can we stop shaming young adults for wanting to make money?

JSU games are rarely even televised. Wow.

I think its funny that Florida State was this kids' dream school, and also Deion's alma mater, and he plucked him away. NIL doing some stuff

Seems to me like I saw them on TV a bunch last season. Maybe I'm dreaming that.

I think you are. They've been featured on TV commercials because of Deion doing Geico with Saban now, but SWAC games are rarely televised.
