honestly either didn't know or completely forgot mitch richmond was ever on the warriors.

 

Run TMC! I remember really liking them the 1-2 years they were together. Then the Warriors traded Richmond for some reason that I never understood and sucked for 20+ years before the Curry Warriors rose up.

Do they have a VP person or is GM their top role? Titles aside if it's a true head role, it wouldn't be parallel.

 

That said, NBA teams have I believe total freedom to block their internal staff from being hired even if it's a perceived upgrade, and even if the top role. As I recall from the Karnisovas hiring process a couple teams blocked their guys for interviewing for the role, even though it was clearly a promotion and clearly was the #1 FO role in Chicago.

 

This differs from the NFL for instance where teams can't block a guy from getting a "head of personnel" rol (most often being GM title).

yeah, same. he has at least one breathtaking play per game. he also has at least one of those quadruple head fakes per game where he looks like a glitchy video game

Upper 50s barring injuries and Williams defense is not actually good, at least not yet

i meant to say upper 50s.

 

they're currently on pace for 52 and have dealt with injuries (zach, coby, vooch's illness, throw in williams if you think that's consequential, but he's not coming back this year so that's irrelevant to the discussion), severe underperformance from vooch, and are still finding their way as a massively overhauled roster. and they've had a goofy schedule having played the most games (while dealing with the aforementioned issues) in the league and some really weird travel sequencing if you really want to dig that deep. they've been highly competitive in almost every game with only a couple of exceptions and the defense is a legitimate force and there's no reason to believe it isn't here to stay.

 

and they'll almost certainly add to shore up some of their weaknesses and add some size/defense/rebounding in the interior.

That’s really the only glaring weakness though I’d love to have a sniper a la Craig Hodges (had to show my age here) to add to the bench as well.

I don't think I really want a guy like Favors. I think he slows the offense down. I want a guy that can run the floor, finish, and hit a shot if left open. Basically, I want Derrick Jones Jr. but 3-4" taller.

Obviously at Miami and Denver are tough. Cleveland is kinda sorta good despite losing Sexton for the year. The good news is that those 5 games cover about 13 days (until the 6th game against LAL on Sunday) as we have 2 days off between games 3 different times in that stretch. So its not as bad as Vuc going down when we were playing 4-5 games a week.
