It’s hard to get too worked up about the cardinals playing well when we are unrecognizable.

I live in LA and it’d be funny to see the dodgers lose in the wild card game. I enjoy the Mickey Mouse ring discourse lol

But still F the Cardinals, I don’t want them winning horsefeathers either.

I dont think the Cardinals will win anything in the playoffs, but those seem to be the years that the Cardinals win something in the playoffs. I am looking forward to the Giants/Dodgers 5 game series, I am positive the Cardinals are going to screw that up

When they started to get hot I got a little excited about our chances to knock them out of the playoffs, but at this point they might be resting their starters for most of our games against them. Still, would be nice to show some life this weekend and make them sweat it out a little.

Yeah, I'd be less worried about St. Louis if they were winning 96 games. Years like this where they don't have that much talent but pull off their devil magic horsefeathers anyway (this Jon Lester thing is officially absurd, he's sucked ass for the better part of 3 years but now he's going to wildly outpitch his FIP?) are the years where they manage to be there at the end.

The thing that blows me away about the Cardinals thing isn't so much that they won 11 in a row(teams get hot), it's that every other team in their path has simultaneously fallen on their face. In that same span the Reds are 3-7, the Padres are 2-9, the Mets are 2-8, the Phillies(who needed to make up ground to begin with) look like world beaters at 7-4 compared to that crew.

The Reds is particularly bad because if they’d just won series against crappy teams they’d be right there. Not even sweeping, just 2 of 3. Lost 2 of 3 to Marlins, Cubs, Tigers and Pirates. Plus they lost 2 of 3 twice to St Louis.

Braves Phillies could get interesting down the stretch here.
