Jerseys for Rizzo, KB, Javy

I don't know if this has been discussed inside other threads, and if so my apologies.

 

With each of Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez being free agents at the end of the year, this is kind of early to possibly know 100% - BUT - are you interested in continuing to support the player(s) and purchase a jersey of any of these guys? Be it NYY, SF, NYM, or their future team.

 

I'm torn on Rizzo... only for the reason that my father passed away earlier this year, and he was a big Yankees fan (born in New Jersey). He loved the Cubs too, unless it was against the Yankees. I know he was in heaven, clapping and having a grand ol' time when Rizzo was traded to New York. I might get a Rizzo Yankees jersey for sentimental reasons.

 

Bryant and Baez I can see staying with their current teams. KB is close to home, and Javy is playing with his BFF. Would I get a KB/SF jersey? Perhaps. Javy in Orange + blue? Meh... lowest of the probabilities.

 

Anyone else feel similar?

I would wait to see where they land. I would consider a Rizzo for sure, he's my favorite player. Maybe a Baez just because he's awesome. I weirdly don't have any attachment to Bryant. He could resign with the cubs and I would buy a non cubs Rizzo jersey over a cubs Bryant jersey.

I don't like buying jerseys regardless but I wouldn't do it, especially growing up hating the Mets more than any other team.

 

However, it would be tacky. Not as tacky as putting your own last name or a nickname like "J-Dog 69" but not far enough from that.

Literally exactly the same for me. I have a Rizzo away jersey and a Javy alternate. Thinking I might get a Hendricks home one to finish the set sometime.

I have owned many jerseys over the years, but I haven't bought any new ones recently.

 

I currently have a Sandberg (pinstripe), Billy Williams (1969 pinstripe), and a couple different Sosa jerseys. I only wear them if I am attending a game or something where watching a game is the main event. I think I last wore one when I watched game seven of the 2016 WS. I like to wear the Sosa the most because it seems to get people's panties in a wad.

I made the 10 millionth post on PSD back in 2014 (or maybe it was 2013, whatever) and they gave me a reward of any jersey of my choosing. I chose a white Starlin jersey. Went against my first thought of getting a HOF like Sayers (already have/had Payton), MJ (wanted the cursive '85), or Banks. That's the last time I acquired a jersey of a player in any sport.
