man I love Jimmy buckets

He’s unreal. Embiid was right, he should have stayed in Philly and they would have a ring.

“Tobias Harris?”

Golden State is going to thrash whoever wins the East (the Celtics). There’s no way either of these teams have anything left for the Finals.

Golden State isn't thrashing Boston if that's the finals matchup. Golden State is good, but they're not what they were a couple years ago and Boston is solid. I could see them thrashing Miami but part of that is due to Miami's health.

I don’t think the Warriors are better than Boston, but it’s pretty clear that Tatum, Smart and Brown are hurting.

The Finals don’t start until Thursday? I take back what I said. Boston does have a good chance.

From a competitive standpoint Boston - Golden State should be a better match up than Miami - Golden State would have been, could see it being an entertaining 7 game series.

Kirk Goldsberry has the Warriors winning in 7. I think it will be a close series and I agree the Warriors will win, but think they'll do it in 6 games.

I'm saying Celtics in 6 because they've been the best team in the league since January and Boston wins everything in sports.

The Warriors and Steph have completely changed the NBA. This series is the 3 and D style on steroids.

Boston really needs a 3 that can drive and create his own offense who can score when the shot clock goes under 10 seconds. They have no threat late in the clock so it always comes done to hero ball from Tatum.

Yes the 4th quarter was a bit flukey but Boston is just the better team. Crazy that people still don’t believe in them

I think they’re fairly even teams, with Boston maybe a bit better. Its tough to tell from last night though because of the extremes that happened for Boston. I tend to think the Horford/Smart/White drop off with be more of a negative than Tatum returning to normal levels will be a positive but we’ll see.

The fact that Steph did Steph like things, Tatum shot miserably yet Boston won by double digits is pretty alarming for GS. The Celtics think they can pretty much bludgeon the Warriors the whole game and take their chances at the end.

I mean sure, if you're just looking at those two factors.

Steph averaged 4.5 3's and 25.5 ppg this year. In Game 1 he made 7 3's and scored 34 points. So slight overperformance but nothing too crazy.

Jayson Tatum averaged 26.9 ppg this year but only scored 13 in Game 1. That's more of an outlier than Steph.

Smart, White and Horford averaged 33.3 ppg this year while shooting an average of 4.3-13.2 (32.6%) from 3. In Game 1, that trio was 15-23 (65.2%) and scored 63 points.

Obviously there's more to it than just those 5 players and handful of stats. I just was saying that those four Celtics regressing to the mean is a net negative for Boston due to how absurd those three players were in Game 1. And I don't think anyone would be shocked if Steph averaged 34 points and 7 3's per game in the finals. I wouldn't bet on it, but its within the realm of possibility (especially 34 ppg). But Tatum isn't averaging 3-17 shooting per game in the series and that other trio isn't averaging 15-23 from 3. Steph's performance wasn't LeBron going for 51 on 19-32 shooting in G1 of the 2018 finals.

And while I'm not rooting for Boston in the series, I actually bet on them because I couldn't believe they were +130 to win the series.

Yes some games were close in this series but Golden State is just the better team. Crazy that people still don’t believe in them
