This might be the worst offensive performance of the season. 2 base runners in 8 innings and 22 of the 24 outs were either strikeouts or groundouts, most of them weakly hit.

 

I realize the ump is unbelievably bad tonight but still a terrible performance

If the Cubs get through the bottom of the 9th, their first runner on second base for the entire game will be one placed there to start extra innings.

I'll give Ross this, I'm not used to the perfectly logical move of bringing on the closer in this particular spot
