The Cubs are playing. The Braves scratched their starter, so right around 2:15 is when you can expect Boog and JD to talk about how the Braves were worried they would have to use a bunch of arms, but this guy has given them more than anyone could have expected.

 

Eric Sogard is starting again. He is a terrible person and also somehow our best middle infielder right now.

 

It is still a Friday afternoon game at Wrigley, which remains incredible assuming you don't critically think at all about what you are supporting. Go stadium.

 

At least it will be fun to watch Acuna.

I have to see the Cubs score more than 5 runs in a game before I can believe its even possible for them to score 9

ah moving on from the "never having any baserunners at all" type of terrible offense to "having a bunch of baserunners and never being able to drive them in" type of terrible offense.

I was thinking eh i havent turned on a Cubs game in like a week, its a bit slow this afternoon at work and the Cubs got the first 2 runners on, I'll put the game on in the background. 3 straight outs later and I think I've gotten my Cubs fix for the week.

I'll say, from purely watching, I'm not worried about Willson or Happ at all. Process is good for those two, the results will definitely come.

 

Wish I could say the same about most of the rest of the lineup.
