Why do teams abandon what got them a big lead in the first place? Wouldn’t be surprised if this is the beginning of a Clemson comeback. Not that I’ll be broken up about it.

Or....

Justin Fields is really really good. Seeing the Florida QB as a Heisman finalist over Fields is a joke

Not really. If Fields had played more games he’d have been a finalist. Not complicated and isn’t a slight IMO.

All I have to do is say something and the opposite immediately happens, it seems.

I didn’t see this kind of a trouncing, holy crap. They’re making Clemson’s D look stupid.

My alma mater won its first ever bowl game and has a good chance to be ranked in the final poll for the first time in history.

I'll probably have to repeat this all to myself several times tomorrow to maintain sanity so I'm going to start now.

Ball State! Had some fun nights there, and has several of my HS teammates play there. Congrats.

My dad played there so I'm sure he's excited!

Wow. Texas fired Herman. Sarkisian is expected to be named new HC

No way. The only scenario that would cause Sark to turn down Texas would be if he knew that Saban was going to retire and that he’d be next in line at Bama.

Sucks that Indiana was really upset about not getting a better bowl selection and then they went out and lost to a sub-500 SEC team while NU blew out a better SEC team. Don’t get me wrong, i firmly believe IU was better than they showed today and I think they may have deserved a better bowl bid, but they didn’t really prove their point today.

Turns out that Jack Tuttle is terrible.

Not that I am making excuses for him but it was not re-assuring to see him shaking his throwing arm after nearly every play in the 2nd half. Maybe the 3rd string should have gotten some reps.

A full strength game for both sides would have been interesting. Ole Miss was down 3,049 yards and 28 TD's with their top 4 skill players out. Their offense today was a complete shell of itself. I didn't even know who some of those guys were out there.

It doesn't change my mind about them deserving a better bowl game but yeah to make such a big deal about it and then lose to the sub-.500 team isn't a good look.

If IU can keep going to bowl games every year instead of once every 25 years (like it used to be) then they are bound to win one eventually, right? :stickman:

I saw that about Ole Miss and obviously it doesn't make me feel any better about today. Lane is a crafty guy though so I am not surprised they still got production.

Penix is incredibly dynamic and special. If only he could stay healthy...part of me wants the Bears to end up drafting him.

Jeeez, Indiana hasn’t won a bowl game since Desert Storm

One of the great failures of Indiana football in my lifetime is that they did not invest in the football program when Bill Mallory was winning a lot of games. He got IU to 6 bowl games in 8 years but it wasn't until like 15 years after his firing that they started investing in better facilities and upgrading the stadium.

Meh I’m fine with it but maybe I’ve reached the complacent stage of my Michigan fandom. Harbaugh does not seem to have the fire that he had his first couple of years, he needs to find it quick.

Yeah, i guess he separated his shoulder. Before the injury, he didn't look comfortable throwing anything beyond 4 yards.
