Everyone’s favorite sample size manipulator is back

Mills last 4 starts (inc today): 8.05 ERA

Chatwood last 2 starts: 24.55 ERA

Lester last 3 starts: 8.59 ERA

Hendricks last 6 starts: 5.14 ERA

Hard to win when your starting pitching is like that and your offense is hitting under .200 over the last 15 games.

I am not a fan of Dempster being on the broadcast in general, but his deadpan "good for the bullpen guys for saving the day there" was pretty good.

He's pretty funny when he's not trying so hard. While I don't like the three man booth, I think he's actually done a pretty solid job.

Now with a runner on 3rd and 1 out with the Cubs up 1 he swings wildly at 2 straight pitches several inches outside the strike zone for a K.

He’s not a major league player and needs to be in South Bend

Surely Theo can Tony Campana him to some team.

Pirates up 6-5 vs Milwaukee in the 9th. If that score holds and this one holds, the Cubs will be up 4.5 games in the division and 5.5 games up on a playoff spot somehow

Whoops, Brewers just won. Throw all your hate on me if the Cubs also lose

Edit: actually blame Kimbrel
