If the Bears go 3-0 I'm fairly confident everything else will fall in to place and they get the 6th seed.

1. that eliminates the Eagles

2. Vikings would then need to lose @ Chargers OR vs. Packers

3. Rams would need to lose 2 of @ Cowboys, @ 49ers, vs. Cardinals

I'm just having a hard time getting convinced about the Bears going @ Packers, vs. Chiefs, @ Vikings unscathed.

I think a 9-7 Bears playoff team is more likely than a 10-6 one.

The Eagles don't matter, they and the Cowboys are both 6-7 and they play each other. Neither one can win the wild card.

What?

Well, let's say the Bears go 2-1. In order for the Eagles to catch the Bears, they would then need to go 3-0. In order for that to happen, they would have to beat the Cowboys, which means they win their division, which means they don't matter, as far as the Bears' playoff chances go. (The same situation applies to the Cowboys). Only the Rams and Vikings effect the Bears hopes of getting a wild card spot.

at this point I want the Bears to finish 3-0 or 2-1 and Trubisky to finish with a passer rating north of 90 (hes at 87 now). If we dont make the playoffs, that outcome will give me some hope for next year.

I think it's more likely that the Bears go 2-1 and the Vikings and Rams go 0-3 than the Bears going 3-0 while they go 1-2.

Man, I still don't follow your logic. A 10-6 Bears would still be more likely to make the PO.

He isn't saying that. Obviously, if the Bears win all their games, their chances of making the playoffs increases. He is saying that if you simulated the season, say, 100 times, and then would looked at all of the instances where the Bears were in the playoffs, there would be more instances of the Bears being 9-7 and in than 10-6 and in, merely because going 3-0 is very unlikely.

yes, this Wrigley. But the Bears going 2-1 likely means they lose to GB, and horsefeathers that. We're winning on Sunday.

Gotcha.

Still I don't think those odds would be right if you ran simulations. The odds of the Bears going 3-0 or Rams going 0-3 are both near nil. And even when we look at some hypothetical 0-3 Rams finishes theres probably a decent probablity of some 1-2 Bears finishes in there. So whatever chance of a Rams collapse, the Bears probably have equal odds to collapse and make the Rams collapse moot.

Run the ball. Set up the playaction. Run with Trubisky. Basically the same as last week. Trubisky will have to make throws in man coverage to win this game. Most likely to Robinson vs. Jaire Alexander (a really good CB), and to Miller against whoever they choose to cover him.

Well that's a terrible horsefeathering call.

Instead of the Bears having the ball at midfield they get the ball at the Bears 35. What a joke

Horse horsefeathers penalty. Huge blown call.

He took Tramon's head off, vicious hit

He hit his horsefeathering shoulder. What game are you watching? Even the rules expert said it was a wrong call.
