Holy crap, how did I not realize that the Bears somehow won at Lambeau 4 years in a row? (2004-2007)

Since then they've won in 2013 and 2015

it's easy to forget that the bears owned favre for his last few years. especially while he was with green bay.

i can only hope we get to have the same satisfaction/slaying of demons of beating up on rodgers's carcass for a few years.

we beat Favre up alot at the end of his career, in fact we pretty much ended his career via Wooten

Wasn't that when he was a Viking? Think it was an outdoor game, winter, cold, snow.

yes, the metrodome roof collapsed so they played on the icy TCF stadium turf (Gopher Stadium). it was played at like 3/4 speed

I remember jersey bitching that someone was going to get hurt because it was such a crappy day and the stadium wasn't prepared to be played in. it was a monday night game

and, someone DID get hurt. Favre.

yes... played at university of minnesota's field that was basically frozen solid and had been shut down for the season. after the metrodome roof collapsed.

I know the Bears chances of making the playoffs were incredibly small but since they are playing better I thought it would be fun to hold out a small amount of hope as I watched the games today.

Unfortunately it’s looking like a worst case scenario day

-Vikings win

-Packers win

-Rams winning 21-3

Rams winning is most damaging IMO. Bears can win over Vikings by the Packers beating them and the Bears winning in week 17. But the Bears would need the Rams to lose twice and the Seahawks were one of the best remaining chances for them to lose.

Anyways, yeah was a long shot going in but even bigger long shot now

The 49ers can beat them and who knows, maybe Dallas will temporarily come out of their coma long enough to get it done.

The Bears IR'd Roquan today and replaced him on the active roster with.......a LB. The Bears have Kwitkoski, Pierre-Louis, Iyiejbuniwe, and Woods as healthy ILBs on the roster. Replacing Roquan with a ILB, likely means they don't anticipate Trevathan this week. I don't think they'd bring in a guy to the active roster if they planned on making him inactive (which he would be if Trevathan was playing).

Guessing this is a week-to-week thing. If they lose this game and the Vikings and Rams win, maybe they shut Trevathan down. But if they are still in it and he can play, he will.....just not this week.

For next weeks SNF game:

I think the Bears can be eliminated with a loss and either a Vikings or Rams win, but even if they win this week it might be really difficult to still be in contention before Week 16 SNF. Would take Bears win this week and at least 1 loss from both Vikings (@LAC, GB) and Rams (@DAL, @SF) over their next 2 games.

Edit: Nevermind, Bears can still remain alive if they win this week and Vikings win both games because the Bears would have a shot at passing the Packers for the Wild Card in that scenario. But if Rams win both games the Bears are obviously out.

Someone on twitter yesterday said that there is a scenario where the Bears, Vikings, Packers and Rams all finish 10-6 and if that happens, the Bears would host the Rams in Wild Card weekend while the Vikings and Packers are eliminate. I like that one.

I may quit sports if that happened, there is no reaching the high of the next month again if everything happened to create that scenario.

Playoffs or not, from an aesthetic point of view, it'd be great if the Bears beat the Packers and win out. My dream scenario for Sunday, late in the game, Bears holding a small lead. Rodgers, has the Packers driving for the winning score, goes back to pass, throws and Ha-Ha intercepts the pass for a pick 6. During this drive, until the pick 6, all the usual fluky, gypsy magic [expletive] occurs, Bears force several 3rd and longs only to have Rodgers convert while in the grasp of Mack on a tipped pass, etc. Afterwards, Packers lose out, miss the playoffs by one game.

If the Bears go 3-0 I'm fairly confident everything else will fall in to place and they get the 6th seed.

1. that eliminates the Eagles

2. Vikings would then need to lose @ Chargers OR vs. Packers

3. Rams would need to lose 2 of @ Cowboys, @ 49ers, vs. Cardinals

I'm just having a hard time getting convinced about the Bears going @ Packers, vs. Chiefs, @ Vikings unscathed.

Man I'm not too confident at all about the Rams dropping 2 of those.

I think a 9-7 Bears playoff team is more likely than a 10-6 one.

The Eagles don't matter, they and the Cowboys are both 6-7 and they play each other. Neither one can win the wild card.
