I was wondering which Kurjkian story we'd hear first. Schwarber in awe over Contreras' defense athleticism or Hank Aarons grip strength. There we have it Maybe we'll get a back to back.

If we are going to lose, I’d rather the Nats lose. Probably just me. And Disco.

Wait, you’d rather better your chances of playing a 50-50 game at home than better your chances of avoiding it altogether?

No, I’d rather better our chances of playing a 50-50 game than missing the playoffs altogether. The brewers will apparently never lose again so I’m just assuming they’re taking one of the two WC spots.

It's just meatbally 'don't want to feel like we missed a chance to pick up a game' crap, I'm sure.

Would prefer to keep seeing Caratini at C and Contreras at 1B as long as Rizzo is out.

I'm not sure I trust Contreras at 1st as much as I trust Caratini there

I think Caratini is better defensively at either spot, but much more critically at catcher. I seriously doubt Contreras would be worse than merely adequate at 1B.

I get that, and I know Caratini is Yu's catcher, but I still would feel better with them switched

Well then you’re gonna be stuck with Lucroy catching games

First batter up and the Pads give up the lead.

Brewers have two hits and they’re both homers.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but at this point I think it is extremely unlikely that the Brewers don't make the playoffs. With the Cubs and Cardinals playing each other 7 times, and the Brewers playing garbage teams, they are going to pass one if not both teams.
