Vic had himself a night. Cubs had themselves a series.

 

Brewers have been slippin' up a bit. Think I read somewhere that Yellich might not be playing at 100%..

 

Seems to me like this is a perfect opportunity to bury them and in doing so, hopefully pass the Cardinals.

Yeah things actually set up pretty well for the Reds to do some damage this weekend, they have the SP advantage in all four games since Flaherty won't be going.

 

I think I'm hoping for the Cards to go 4-4 or worse over their next two series. Their September schedule is pretty tough, so as long as they don't feast over the rest of this homestand and put a few more games between us and them, I feel good about catching them.

Didn’t even notice the double header on Saturday. Was super confused why Mahle was pitching Saturday in Gray’s spot. Was looking up Gray on Twitter to see if he had an injury haha.

Kemp sucks, but he can also play a competent center field. Baez also played there a few times last year or the year before, and with Russell unfortunately looking alright, that could work too.

Edit: Yes 0-4, but this is their record in the next few games after hitting 11 over

 

1. 2-4 in the next 6 games
