Yeah, no. Don't project your ridiculous micro-sample size nonsense on everyone else.

Yet you guys wanted to send him down due to one game sample size of him getting doubled up an losing a couple balls in the sun?

Yes...in addition to the myriad of other ways he has sucked at the plate for nearly two seasons.

How do you possibly think that mediocre OPS is some kind of slam dunk?

A .798 isn't mediocre and Its not a slam dunk, but Its wise to go with it as long as its working because there is always the possibility it stays there.

When Javy started out bad for the early part of his career and started to turn it around did you want to avoid giving him a shot too since it may not been a slam dump he kept playing well?

You accused me of liking Trump but people like you are how he somehow got elected.

Doesn't know how he got elected, but he knows its our fault.

I know exactly how he got elected, just never guessed he would have actually pulled it off with no political background despite the fear mongering and SJW backlash.

I don't know. I just wish these new accounts would have the decency to name themselves "Breitbart" or something immediately descriptive. Hell, there's an account at Gateway Redbirds named "MAGA." I appreciate that kind of thing; I can just reflexively ignore and go on my way.

People would rather lose than have Russell on their team because if Russell turns his life around and becomes a productive member of society, it completely ruins their narrative about DV people. Nobody is saying you have to root for the guy. Russell had over an .800 OPS over the last month before he got sent down and is better than Bote, Kemp, and Garcia yet people overreacted to one bad game and freak out every time he strikes out.

I don't know what Russell has to do with politics anyways. First off, some people can separate personal life from sports. I'm not going to cheer for the guy or buy his jersey but I'd like to see him turn his life around and if he's doing that and he's giving you the best chance to win, he should be on the roster. If Russell were to f*** up again, I'd be first in line in calling for him to be cut.

I have never liked Russell so go horsefeathers yourself.

Whats dumb is how triggered Russell makes you. You would rather lose watching guys go 5-for-40 since he last started, rather than use the better player Theo gave 3M to play.

If baseball is so important to you that you get triggered because you can't cheer for your favorite spousal abuser, you have some serious problems in your life. We're all passionate about the Cubs, but baseball is a game that doesn't actually matter. It's not supposed to be the number one priority in your life. It's not supposed to take precedence over you being a decent human being.

Yes, the real problem is those politically correct SJW libtards who are way too far to the left on the issue of... being against domestic violence.

I like how you think domestic violence is some political thing and there's a line in the sand drawn between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to whether people think domestic violence is good or bad.

It shouldn't have anything with politics, but the most vocal people about Russell are also the most vocal people about Trump. So if you disagree with them on Russell or any other topic it automatically makes you a fan of Trump. I find it ironic the people who claim to be so woke tend to be the most judgemental and hateful people.

I mean, yeah. It's mostly grandstanding from people that have lost their minds since Trump was elected and think they're on the right side of everything and nobody else is allowed to have a different opinion on things. And this is coming from someone who supported Clinton and will never vote Republican as long as I live. Starlin Castro didn't illicit the same reaction when he was accused of rape in 2012.

All I know is the Cubs (Theo, who is a Democrat supporter) would not bring Russell back if they didn't think it was the right thing to do. They consulted with multiple DV experts who agreed that the best course of action for Russell and Melisa was for him to get a 2nd chance with the team and try to rehabilitate his life. Again, nobody is claiming you have to cheer for the guy but this is a country of 2nd chances and if he does the work to turn his life around and doesn't f*** up again, why shouldn't he get a 2nd chance?

Nobody is supporting DV that's another one of your SJW faults where you guys think everyone who has a different view than you is on some monster with extreme views. That crazy point of view is part of why the damn guy got elected and will likley get a second term, normal people are put off by it.

His own ex-wife says he should be allowed to play baseball again, MLB let him play, and the Cubs signed him. So at what point can we move on a let it be about baseball? You don't have to cheer him, but its just silly to not want the best 25 on the roster and the best 9 field when they are already paying him. If you want him off the Cubs being in Chicago to either fail and get cut or succeed and get traded is the best move for your agenda.
