A guy whose OBP and SLG would look merely decent as a batting average should not be playing on a MLB team, let alone one that has mild postseason aspirations.

We’ve had 2-4 guys on the roster all year that this describes, gonna have to be more specific.

So can Happ and his .218 average and .717 OPS(both the lowest of tonight’s Iowa lineup) in a severely hitter friendly league, join the horsefeathers cause he’d fit right in for the most part.

Forget Garcia, he’s to good for the current approach at the plate

Holy horsefeathers, are Happ's numbers that low?

They’ve completely ruined him

Alec Mills pitched tonight (he’s been quite good lately), knowing Adbert is a bit of a wild card for now and with Hendricks going tomorrow as a wild card/likely pitch count it seems like it would’ve been wise to not start Mills in Iowa and call him up tonight or hold him back for tomorrow as a call up to soak some innings so we could use him or a long guy like Monty or Chatwood for 2-4 innings and not be forced to use Brach for 1+ and then Wick for 1+ and completely horsefeathers the game up. Bang up job with the foresight and roster construction once again, Theo. Edited by Cubswin11

2016 world champions. Every single win since then has been gravy. They are in a bad stretch. Nobody is running away with the division.

Some off days coming up. Much needed. I am a little drunk and don’t care.

This is all true. That championship was vital. It also takes a horsefeathers ton of anxiety off as a fan, provided the big dream was to actually see it happen. And considering it was an awesome season and then turned out to be an unreal World Series that could not have been written any better, I mean, every season after is never going to be as good.

I actually care more about the Brewers never winning one then the Cubs doing it again, although I'd like the Cubs to do it again. I say this sober.

we all knew that it would suck to eventually decline after the world series, i just never thought we'd turn into such a terribly run organization.

We have like 3 guys who aren't definitively worse than they were 3 years ago, and almost literally everybody we've acquired since has gotten worse since getting here. It's really kind of amazing.
