It all comes down to this..., well, not exactly. But kind of.

If the Bears win this game, they are going to win the division. And the Bears just happen to be 3 point favorites. The Vikings have won 4 of their last 5 and are coming off a bye, so this is going to be a tough game

So is Illegalsexclubinsky good now or what?

Ask us again in 18 years when he announces his retirement with all kinds of bling on his fingers.

Has Parkey been cut yet? If not, what's taking so long?

No, and by all accounts his job is not in jeopardy as Nagy said they would not be bringing in other kickers.

I'm fine with it. It's not like he was shanking balls, he actually hit the upright, which is amazing.

In all honesty, I think hitting the post should count extra. If you hit the post on a FG it should be a 4 point FG.

Let's not pretend this was the first time he's had issues.

I'm not. He's not very good. But they've been cycling through kickers for a while now because a lot of them are not very good, especially guys that are currently available.

After Matt Bryant comes back to the Falcons Giorgio Tavecchio would likely become available. Would make for some good competition, see if he can handle Solider Field.

I think it was Hub yesterday mentioned a band of kickers traveling the league looking for work like it was a circus. He said there is a reason that they are out of work and none of them will be better than Parkey.

I don't think I'd put much trust in what Hub says, but I get the idea that the best options are already employed. That being said, why cant we get a guy who will practice at Soldier so he understands that field? I remember Gould having a hell of time his first year there and having to learn the field and the winds that wreak havoc there. There has to be someone willing to put in the work.

I'm going to guess Parkey is willing to put in work.

Well he HAS to now

I posted this in the Lions thread but it bears repeating: Mason Crosby is 8/8 in FGs and 12/12 in XPs since his similarly disastorous game against the Lions. Bad days happen, unless it's still happening next weekend and we think he has yips of the leg, there's no reason to freak out.
