The Bears start off the November portion of their schedule in upstate New York. The game is currently off the board, presumably because of Buffalo's QB situation. I watched the Jets game on a laptop from Hawaii at 7am here. The app tells me this game is at 8am, which I assume is noon in Chicago.

In honor of Movember, Mitch might as well keep growing out that silly stache. Although maybe his accuracy will improve if he ditches it. Bears have a chance to split with the AFC East, and if they do manage to lose, this will be the reason they miss the playoffs.

This is the 2nd time this year the Bears have faced a team coming off a short week. The last time this happened the Bears won by 38

Thought I saw a Bears -10 today. That's pretty crazy, though Buffalo is terrible offensively and shouldn't be able to score 10 points. Bears have scored at least 23 in all but 1 game. So, -10 makes sense on the surface.

I'd love to see a repeat of the Tampa game, but Buffalo is solid defensively. They have some guys that can pick Mitch off if he's not accurate.....though if he's off as much as he has been at times, Buffalo doesn't have an 11ft tall defender.

If we weren't so used to being burned by the Bears, if this were another team, I think we'd be pretty on them as a very good team that was unlucky to be 3-3.

that's exactly what they are

Derek Anderson has a concussion and Nathan Peterman is expected to start.

Reminder of Peterman's career stats:

45.7% Completion percentage

3 TD

9 INT

4.4 Y/A

Kyle Long out 6-8 weeks. IDK if he's going on IR. Could put him back late in the season or potentially for the playoffs. Based on his past recoveries, I think he goes on IR to return and then decide in 8 weeks if he can come back.

I guess that's not as bad of a scenario as I thought it could be after seeing Kyle go down. Still, he's the heart and soul of the offensive line and the toughest and most important games are coming up. I thought I remember seeing that the line was pretty darn good at keeping Trubisky from getting sacked, but Mitch is great at running from pressure and making the line look better than they are.

If Mack was 70% last week and the Bears held him back, what if he's 80% this week? The Bears can easily win without him, but he's playing in Buffalo where he went to college and Mack doesn't miss games outside of last week.

Noticed that the Bears are 3rd in the league in rushing yards per game. Do we finally have an elite running game Tim?

If you back out the Mitch scrambles, I think that’d be more accurate.

Yes, his scrambles count as rushes but many are not designed.

The Aikman Ratings used to be my secret weapon in my pick the winner Yahoo football pool. (Not the best strategy, btw)

As of week 5, Bears were #1

week 6, 2

week 7, 3
